Happy Mother's Day

Whoops.....what happened here?  The pond on number 18 seems to have flooded over night.  No, we haven't had any rain nor even a hint of a cloud.

We met Jessie from our landscape crew who gave us the low down.  A culvert got plugged up with old grass clippings and pond muck.  Jessie cleaned it out and the water is now flowing freely again.  All will be back to normal soon.  Jessie is one of the newest members of the crew.  He has the weekend shift.

The birds loved their new bathing area and so did the fish.  They were swimming up on the course to reap in the new food source.

This green heron came down to see what was going on.  There were golf balls galore in the shallow waters.

No, these aren't duck eggs.  They're loads and loads of golf balls.  The shallow water was FULL of them.  Do any of them belong to you??

We chatted with these folks who were out on their patio enjoying the beautiful morning.  I LOVE their frog statue.....his solar eyes light up at night.

This cormorant was searching for a tasty meal.

We took this photo this morning (Monday) just to show that all the water has already receded and things are back to normal.

Spotted this bird near the creek but I don't know what he is yet.  I have Kent Evans researching it for me.

The tonka trucks are hard at work this morning.  Can't really see much to show a good picture of the roads yet but they're working in full force to get the streets done.

That's my news for now.  Have a great day!

Can you imagine what life will be like when our grandchildren reach our age?
