Tennis, Rain, Bingo, and Toes

Yahoo!  We had some rain Friday!!  That's almost always good news when you live in the dessert.  Look at how empty the sites are across the street from us now.  All the rigs are gone or closed up and its very very quiet in the neighborhood.

It was a chilly morning so Don wore a hat on the patio for morning coffee.  He has to keep that bald head warm or he gets chilled.  :)

We noticed that the palm trees are shooting out their stems and are getting ready for blossoming.  That means the trimmers will be starting soon.

The tennis courts were busy this morning so we stopped in to say howdy.

I didn't know Don was behind me for this photo shoot.

Nice friendly social bunch.

A little strange but lots of fun.

They handed Don a racquet and offered lessons.  He thought that was funny.

Some of us gals are still attending bingo at the American Legion.  Have you ever seen how we play the double action game?  It's my favorite.

This morning we were caught on camera as Chris Steward snuck up on us with his camera.  We treat ourselves to a pedicure every couple weeks as it's getting harder and harder to bend the knees and do it ourselves.  We recommend Essence of Nails next to the old Target store if you're looking for a comfy place for this service.

Bob walked into a sports bar around 9:58 p.m. He sat down next to a blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV. The 10 p.m. news was coming on.  The news crew was covering the story of a man preparing to jump off the ledge of a large building. The blonde looked at Bob and said, “Do you think he'll jump?”

Bob said, “You know, I bet he'll jump.”

The blonde replied, “Well, I bet he won't.”

Bob placed a $20 bill on the bar and said, “You're on!” Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy on the ledge did a swan dive off the building, falling to his death.

The blonde was very upset, but willingly handed her $20 to Bob. “Fair's fair. Here's your money!”

Bob replied, “I can't take your money. I saw this earlier on the 5 p.m. news, so I knew he would jump.”

The blonde replied, “I did, too, but I didn't think he'd do it again!”
